Nice! Who gets to open the doors? Who gets gets the piece/gift behind the doors? It will be fun following your door openings. Nostalgic for me. We grew up with fun advent calendars, and so did our two daughters. Some had little gifts hiding behind the doors, some had chocolates. Brad

I open the doors and all the gifts are mine, muahahaaa My first advent calendar as a child had pictures and I used it more than one year. I still remember the wood scene with a fawn in it and the glitter. I wish I still had it. The first door's picture was an undecorated Christmas tree and Christmas Eve had two doors over a bigger picture which was the nativity scene. I did the first advent calendar on my blog in 2010, this is the seventh. Usually I have done traditions or stories, this time it's a crafty one.

I am curious what the scale is or size of your doors? Brad Brad, it's not an actual calendar. I call it that because I post one of my handmade Christmas ornaments, which I made for it throughout the year, on my blog each day. The ornaments are between about 1 1/2 and 7 inch, so it would have been difficult (at least for me) to make a real calendar with them. The star is about 1 1/2 inch, the bobble hat about 2 1/2.

I moved this to "It's Not Jewelry" now because that's really where I intended it to be, I only just noticed Today I got something that I had not done before and as simple it sounded, I managed to mess it up at first, lol. The fourth door

These are so much fun, Cat! I am behind on my blog reading, and need to read the stories behind the last two. The vine is so original and pretty. And Iām fascinated by the sequined ball.
