WOW, just WOW! That is one beautiful work of art, Cat. I have loved every single thing you've shown us, but I think this one is my favorite. It's so elegant and I really think you've achieved perfection here. Very impressive. On a side note, I thought it was a poinsettia when I first saw the photos. I love it! Dawn

Thank you, Irith and Dawn! It really tested my patience because making the same component (that you know from the folded peyote earrings) six times was so hard! I'm happy you think it was worth it

Happy Christmas Eve with the "Christkind" (Christ Child), the traditional gift bringer in my part of Germany The twenty-fourth door

Oh my stars. I am at a loss for words. Absolutely stunning, Cat. I'm speechless, well almost, but I don't think a lot of words are necessary. The Chistkind speaks for itself. I love how you lead up to this masterpiece by showing us the other simpler (but also amazing) ornaments and then giving us the Grande Finale. I bow to your greatness, you are a true master bead artist and your work is meticulous down to the last detail. Dawn

Haha, you have been deceived! There will be one more smaller piece tomorrow to acknowledge that the real Christmas celebrations in some other countries start on the 25th and it's something very American.
Honestly, Dawn, I would be lying if I said your words "don't go down like oil" as we call it here. I'm always amazed at how different the doll projects feel to me, different from one another, but mostly different from everything else I do which is the reason why your words really mean a lot to me, thank you so much.

I sincerely mean every word, Cat. I'm just blown away by it's beauty, but I shouldn't be because I know how skilled and creative you are. I'm excited to see this next piece tomorrow. You've created another mystery to keep us guessing! Dawn

P.S. I like that saying and I may have to borrow it from time to time!

Feel free to use it! Of course I could use the English idioms, but I always think maybe you have a bit of fun reading how we call something

Merry Christmas! Thank you to everyone who followed my advent calendar this year and special thanks to those who followed my blog for more info about the individual projects and commented Of course a traditional advent calendar has only 24 doors, but I threw in an extra (I even did one for all of December one year, so one extra was not too bad ). The twenty-fifth door

I have always liked learning new sayings from other cultures and countries. They can be so creative. I imagine it's the same for you, Cat. Which makes me wonder; if one of us includes a saying or phrase into their post that you haven't seen before, do you have to look it up to decipher the meaning or is it usually clear to you? I can think of a few that might make a person have to think a bit before getting it. Dawn

That little bottle is adorable! Being a miniature like it is makes it even more interesting to me. While it doesn't match the Christchild for elegance and stunning beauty, it has its own charms that are most endearing and delightful! I'm a bit behind on your blog, but I will catch up. I've enjoyed reading the stories behind all of your wonderful ornaments.

I know most phrases, but sometimes I have to look something up. What I have to look up much more often, though, is if people throw social media acronyms at you, and I forget most of them right afterwards, so if they turn up again, I have to look them up again! Thank you, Dawn I think those two could be up to some Christmassy mischief. I just finished something that was a spontaneous project for which I have to blame Mabel, but also my sister as an enabler. It could be another door, but I'll just make it a normal blog post
