I love the flowers and what you made from the design! I think when you showed the first batch - at least they look familiar to me - I said they make me think of Pril flowers, a must in many 70s kitchen. I say "must" because you once put the stickers on the tiles, it was almost impossible to get them back off Pril is a dish soap and they put the flowers on the back of their bottles in the 70s (with later retro revivals). I digress. A very sweet and happy design that is definitely worth working on me to get those dots exactly the way you want them!

Lovely renewed flowers Dawn. Spring is just the right time to wear them, although I think you can wear them in any season.

Thank you both! Cat, you have seen those flowers before. I remember posting them to S&T, but it was probably on the old SJA. How come stickers won't stick when you want them to, but when you don't want them to they won't budge? Dawn

I am still ripping, ripping, ripping, by the way, and will keep doing so until you give me a new challenge At the moment I have a big stripey cat lying on my boobs and chin (very unusual for him to do that, I don't think he did since he was a baby), so I can't really do anything but type.

Thanks for the reminder, Cat. I keep meaning to post our next challenge and then I get distracted and do something else. Dawn

Wow, I’m way behind on reading this topic!
Irith, great save! I love the necklace that came from the broken cuff. Beautiful! Cat, the first piece was pretty, but the remake is a really beauty! The beads reflect the colors in the stone so well. Dawn, the delicate flower remake are amazing. I feel happy just looking at them.

Finally! I call this Imperfectly Perfect. Ha! I wouldn’t sell it, but I will wear it. On the original, I didn’t use Delicas on the background, but tried some cheap rather non-uniform beads I had on hand. I also started at the center and worked my way out, which caused the outer edge to be janky. The outer edge on this one is smooth. But once I once I started sewing on the finishing beads, I found I’d cut my backing piece a little too small. I should have ripped it again, but I didn’t. I still could pretty easily since I didn’t attach a bail to those finishing beads. But at the moment, I don’t feel so inclined. However, it did flatten one side. I may try fixing it later.

It's lovely and absolutely perfect for both this challenge and the new one! You should post it there as well even if you want to make something else!
By the way, if I make a cutting mistake with the backing, I have turned pieces into completely asymmetric items lately, cutting it into flowing shapes. Remember the "Mod Heart" pendant that I made from a leftover? Sometimes that's a really nice save and I like it so much that I have started doing it on purpose.

Thanks, Cat! And I will post it for the new challenge. Ha! I love it. The asymmetric pieces have a more organic feel which I really like. I love your work. I always assumed toy were doing it on purpose but had no idea it didn’t start out that way.
