This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is in honor of IRIS APFEL. Show us something that you think she might have liked to wear, because it's chunky or because of the color or whimsy. I know this one isn't necessarily going to be easy for some of us (myself included) Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made five years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler. We hope to see a lot of creative pics of your IRIS APFEL jewelry. We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us? The Oldies but Goodies Challenges will last two weeks, so you have enough time to share your items! To make it easier, the end date is in the subject now.

Great idea for a challenge theme, Cat. Iris was an inspiration in so many ways and I'm so happy that we will honor her memory and contributions to fashion, art and design with an Oldies but Goodies Challenge. Funny, the name of our challenge is appropriate too! Dawn

I got one that might work. I have showed it not that long ago, but it came to my mind spontaneously now. Let's see if I can find more.

Marilyn was early to show me a famous pic with her wearing a lot of stuff. She was a bit saddened at the news. (Old Mrs. Wetzel was wife of the owner of the little jewelry shop where we bought our wedding ring, about 52 year ago. She wore about the same stuff and same amount of stuff, and quite frankly was nearly her doppelanger - in my memory.) Looks like I will have to sit this one out, as I have nothing even close, but I will follow. Brad

Thank you, Michelle and Irith Irith, I think this one would work perfectly. It's one of my favorites, too. The color of the sea glass is simply gorgeous how it is glowing out of the silver.

We heard about all of the seaglass on the Oregon Coastlines. On our big family trip to Agate beach, where we stayed for days, I never found a piece of seaglass. So disappointing. I was hoping to make pieces for all my family.
