As far as I know Ms. Apfel did not deal with sea glass necessarily . Her attitude to style is the subject of this thread I added this necklace because it is more "bombastic" than my other pieces, and the Apfel fashion seems to require an abundance of colors, materials and ornaments.

If she had ever seen a sea glass necklace like yours, Irith, she would have been wearing sea glass! Brad, from what I understand, sea glass has become hard to find on beaches because so many people pick it up while beach combing and fewer people throw their glass bottles in the ocean than in the past. A lot of sea glass is being made in factories these days. Dawn

Isn't it forbidden on some beaches now to collect sea glass and/or stones?

Yes, I believe it is, Cat.
I know we have beaches here that used to be very popular with agate hunters, but most of them no longer allow any kind stone to be taken. I would imagine that having these little treasures almost completely disappear from the beaches due to so many people taking them is one reason why.

Sliding in under the wire…. I didn’t really think I had anything to fit this challenge, then I remembered this piece:

Thank you Michelle, I wish she would if she were till alive.
Your necklace is just the right kind of jewelry that could be used by her in her designs. I personally love it too.

Send cake and I might think about it I usually close them in my mornings, so about 9 or 10 p.m. your time, but if I remember and you haven't been there, I'll leave it open.
