I did new pictures once, but not of all old pieces and I'm trying to get myself to do it one of these days, but ....

I know. I feel like I took the photos once, I shouldn't have to take them again - looking at you, Etsy! But, as I said earlier, I do agree about a darker background. Dawn

Dawn, I love the painted wooden beads / pearl combo. And while we all try to up the artistry of our pieces, I find myself reaching for my simpler to wear….

So true, Michelle. That is why I try to keep a mix of simple pieces along with the more artistic items in my Etsy shop. The simple things are among my best sellers. Sometimes I think we make those artistic pieces to satisfy our creative sides more than anything else. Dawn

P.S. Looking at the photo I posted of the necklace, you can see that it's out of focus. I copied it from my Etsy shop because the original photos are on my old, old laptop which is packed away in a moving box. One of the things I want to do one of these days (I say that a lot) is to put all of those photos on a memory stick so that I will have access to them. Dawn I've noticed that many good photos of Etsy sellers have an out of focus blur lately. Up to a month ago Etsy required to adapt the size of the photos to 2000 pixels. Now when I add new photos, it is not required. Perhaps this is the reason. But I'm not sure. I have to check it in the Etsy forums perhaps.

Yea, that new size requirement was annoying. I feel like people shouldn't have to re-do the work they've already done because Etsy decided to make a change to their listing format. For a long time, I wasn't going to bother taking new photos, but I can see that being out of focus isn't good, so I will probably start re-taking them one item at a time and then I will be annoyed all over again. Irith, that's encouraging that you are no longer seeing that requirement. I might be less annoyed now! Dawn
