About ten years ago I handcrafted a large three dimensional Rose Gold toggle clasp in 14K Gold. I added it to a necklace of large amorphic Agate and Amber beads. At first I I tried to sell it, but then I decided to keep it to myself. As it is a bib or choker, and I love it just a little bit longer, I think I will remake it and add a few beads. I don't know when I will get to do it so I am posting it here now. The pin entering the loop - I tried to make it shorter, but then realized it came out easily and feared that it might slip out too easily and I might lose the necklace, so I made a longer pin. It feels safer now .

I like that necklace. Both the stones and the clasp! I am only learning about women’s necklace lengths and preferences. I think that clasp should get preferential attention/prominence, so it will be interesting to see the changes you make. Brad

Both the necklace and the clasp are beautiful, Irith! The clasp shows such fine workmanship. Did you design the necklace so that the clasp is worn in front? There are some really lovely clasps out there and I've always thought it a shame that they end up at the nape of the neck hidden by hair or clothing. You've got me wanting to experiment with designs that make the clasp the star of the show. Dawn

A stunner. I love all the different colors of the beads and the clasp is definitely the cherry on top! If you make it longer, I could also imagine the clasp being worn on the side, so it will definitely stay in the focus of the person looking at it.

Absolutely beautiful, Irith! The clasp is amazing. I’m not surprised you kept it for yourself.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. Dawn you are right I designed the clasp to be in front. Cat, I actually wear it on the side. I didn't show the side photograph because the picture was not so good. But here it is:
