I took to the YouTubes provided and looked at other vids as well. Thanks to your help I am progressing, so re-posting topic here. I am using gold filled 18 ga wire, wrapped/weaved on to 6 ga Sterling silver half-round wire. I forgot what pattern I used. I will solder the ends of the silver, then figure out what to do with the loose end of the GF wire??? Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you, Brad

I usually wrap the end of my wires three times around the larger base wires before tucking it between the base wires. At that point cut it as close to the base wire as you can and using chain nose or needle nose pliers press the resulting tail down firmly against the base wire. If you get that wire well tucked between the two bases, it should stay put just fine. I've never had a wire unravel or come loose. You just have to find a good spot to tuck them where the end is protected from catching on anything. That's going to look great when finished! Dawn

What Dawn said. I know it feels weird doing like this, at least it always does to me, but it works.

I have been studying my piece as to the wire tuck. And so refiningly manipulate a very short length of 18 ga wire into a tight-space “tuck.” A couple of places I might even have to flatten the wire a bit to fit. I will stare and think some more, prior to snipping any tails. Brad

It was time cut wire, or get out of the shop. Cut, bend, snip, squeeze, moosh. A lot sanding and shaping then polishing to finish. Pic is of the back side where I tucked. Brad
