I finally finished my silver with gold wrapped wire trimmed pendent, in homage to the Membres Navajo tribe. Fine silver medallion, gold filled wire wrap trim, with SW turqouise etc dangles. i must admit, creating wrapped loops around another wire was very difficult. I did a knotted end pin, with the wrapped loop attached to the wire wrap. I had many failures, before achieving the non-perfect loops I settled for. The pendent is about 1-3/4” across, and the beads are 6mm. I plan to buy a 6-ish mm rope silver chain. Brad

It's a beautiful tribute to the Navajo tribe, Brad. I hope you wear it with pride and enjoyment for many years to come. Also, I think it's good to step outside our usual way of doing things and try these other jewelry making techniques. It gives all of us a real appreciation for all the different artisans and the work they do. Along with that, it can be a humbling experience to realize that some of these techniques aren't as easy as one might think. Good for you for doing just that. Dawn

It turned out beautifully, Brad. The dangles are the perfect addition.

Thank you Dawn and Cat. I am not sure using the gold wire, instead of silver wire added much, as it is hardly distinctive. I will give it a private smudging ceremony, with abalone shell, sage smoke, and a spiritual few lines I wrote modified from a historic NA prayer. I would like to thank all of you that guided me through this project with encouragement and suggestions and teaching. Brad

Our pleasure, Brad. One of the things I like best about our small but mighty group is that everyone is so willing to help, offer suggestions and support each other whenever needed. Dawn
