This is the first I've heard about this, but I very rarely visit the Etsy forums these days. Bad, I know as it means I'm not as informed as I should be, but all the sellers do over there is complain and it gets so tiresome. In my case, since I haven't sold anything on Etsy since March, there are no funds for them to withhold. Ha, there is a positive side to lack of sales!  Dawn |

Imagine depending on the money. I've heard of PayPal doing that, but I didn't know Etsy also did it.

Me either. I noticed that one of the sellers in the article said Etsy was holding 7000 pounds. That is a lot of money and I can see how they would have a negative impact on their business. What strikes me as particularly odd is that I thought Etsy was loaded with cash and was taking in record breaking profits. At least, last time I checked that's what they were saying. Makes me wonder if things aren't so rosy over at Etsy after all. I can see why you've moved to FB selling groups, Cat. Dawn |

I'm always surprised that some of them don't get their shops shut down for the stuff they say about Etsy on the Etsy forums. I'm a little bit more careful about what I say and where I say it. Dawn |

Oh wow! That is awful. It seems like it should be illegal, but it probably isn’t. Laws are written to protect big business. Etsy is probably trying to take advantage of the higher interest rates by withholding the money.
