Thank you so much, Dawn! I was surprised how many memories came up while working on this. The cat eye is yellow-greenish, I had ordered it for moons before even knowing about this challenge, so I guess it had to be! No worries about the blog. I just think it says a bit about me. I could have written so much more, but didn't want to bore everyone with bunny stories. You know me, once I get started ...

I don't think you've ever once bored me, Cat. You always have an interesting take on things. Dawn

Thanks so much ladies! And while I was a bit appalled when I had to add those beads across the moon to draw the perimeter in, it is actually much prettier that way. So a happy accident!
Cat, I love this bunny so much! And what a perfect stone for the moon. And I so appreciate the asymmetric design. I think my next one will incorporate this feature - intentionally. What a brilliant idea!

Thank you very much, Michelle! I am looking forward to seeing you playing with asymmetric design!

Michelle, sometimes the things we have to do against our will to make a design work end up being the best part of the design! Asymmetrical is a tough thing to do on purpose for many people. I think it's a good exercise that helps us keep open minds when it comes to design techniques. Dawn

I think I'll have to make a second moon piece.

What do you have up your sleeve now, Cat? Speaking of pieces, I do believe I know what I'm going to do...or, at least which direction I want to take. Dawn

A spontaneous idea thanks to dem Dekan who found something. I already started on it, too.

Ugh, I ran out of the background beads after using a whole tube. That means I won't be able to finish it before the next bead order.

I am a couple of days late, but I am done! The pendant was finished weeks ago and I thought we would be back from the Elf House in plenty of time to turn it into a necklace, but we ended up having to stay longer than planned. The stone is a treated agate that has bands in various shades of blue. I soldered the bezel and added a lot of decorative dots (good practice that is helping me get better at making consistently sized dots that look like dots and not blobs). A moon and a star that I made out of copper wire and then covered with the silver colored solder has been attached to the front of the pendant. I wish the points of my star were bit more pointy and less rounded, but that's another thing that just requires practice. The chain is made of lava rock beads (to represent the moon and its craters) and sparkly faceted blue glass beads (to represent stars). Those components are attached to stainless steel chain that goes behind the neck. Dawn
