I would like to introduce myself,Brad. I am old dude and new to this forum. I have learned from my musical interests that these online forums are great resources for learning, working out problems, and get the creative juices flowing. I began as a knife builder many years ago-as a hobby, and got tired of nearly bleeding out due to Murphy's Law. And, besides, how many knives do you need. Before the pandemic hit, I began making metal smithed jewelry (with some stone mounting, and etching, and hammering. And making other items for the family, with bronze, copper, and silver. (BTW, I have realized in jewelry making, the bleeding and burns never stop. ;-) I am back at the bench now and working on some new stuff, for myself and family and friends. I am considering as a hobbiest of making the rounds at some art/craft shows down the road. I am schooled through Youtube and Rio Grande videos, primarily. I still travel in my job too much to enroll in some good schools/classes locally. Brad

Welcome, Brad. We are a small group, but everyone here is friendly, welcoming, supportive and generous about sharing knowledge. Just jump right in and if you have any questions about navigating the forum, don't hesitate to ask. Dawn

Welcome on board, Brad! We would love to see some of your work at Show & Tell (and if you have pictures, I'd also like to see your knives at "It's Not Jewelry"). P.S. I moved this post to your own introduction thread.
