Now I got the message that Boho Dawn will indeed leave me eventually, so I can share pictures here. Dawn is wearing a flowing dress with a crystal embellished "smocked" top and 3/4 sleeves, gold sandals and a red daisy chain on her head. She has a simple two tone hemitate ball chain and just went grocery shopping for a huge ear of corn, lol (that used to be an oooold earring, no idea where the second one went).

She's wonderful, Cat! I love everything about her and I think the ear of corn is one of your better ideas! As always, the attention to detail from the gold edging on her dress to her gold sandals is simply amazing. I bow to your greatness! Congratulations on the sale - I knew the customer wouldn't be able to resist her. Dawn

I wish I had kept more of the clay fruit and veggies that I traded for some years ago, but somehow the bag got thrown out. I could have filled her shopping bag with some of the bigger ones. She'll just have to live off corn for a while. Thank you so much, Dawn! I really want to start on the next project now, but it will have to be loomed because it's supposed to have a special pattern, and you know how I still feel about the loom around der Dekan It will also need to be planned more carefully, with looming there's no winging.

I love her; the daisy chain wreath is the perfect finishing touch.

Thank you very much, Carole! I chatted with the lady for a while last night, she showed me her Dawn collection and we talked about being collectors. I have to admit that I have missed that collector's talk since I haven't been to fleamarkets anymore (way before the pandemic because it's often hard to get there without a car). It was really lovely and it also makes me feel better about letting Dawn go

Amazingly beautiful! I know the feeling of letting a handmade item of yours go to someone you appreciate. At least you have the photos now.
I think you need to sign your work on your artistic work with the Dawn dolls somehow. Do you?

Thank you, Irith!
I wouldn't know how to sign the dolls. I think the only way would be to put my logo somewhere inside the skirt, for example. I don't like the idea of a piece of paper, though. A charm would be nice, but too expensive to get made.

Cat, I wonder if it would be possible for you to loom you logo into your designs. Let's say somewhere in the skirt. I think something like that would be quite cool and pretty much impossible to remove. You go, girl! Dawn

Most of my Barbie dresses aren't even loomed and that would make it hard to add a pattern in the first place. The bigger problem would be the size needed to make the logo recognizable. That would really take away from the dress.
I just checked Etsy, though. You can order custom charms with engraved logo. No idea if my logo would work at all as the charms would have to be quite small. Maybe I'll look it into it. If a small one works, I could for example hang it on the back of the necklaces that my dolls usually wear.

I think that hanging a logo on the backs of the dresses would be a great idea. I would like to add that if it would be a tiny metal pendant, someone could wear it with a dainty chain. I mean - it would serve for both purposes.

Well, at the moment I'm not thinking I will sell more, so that would really be just for myself. The idea was really nice anyway, Irith, and I'll keep it in mind.

I hope you are able to find a solution, Cat. The tiny metal charm sounds like a possibility. Dawn
