Hi everyone! It's so lovely to find an alive and flourishing forum about all things jewellery making!
I am very much a dabbler. I used to do lots of seed bead things when I was a teenager, mostly weaving - on a loom, off a loom, peyote, tubular, raised patterns, etc. I hadn't touched my beads for more than a decade, though, when in November just gone a friend of mine asked if I'd make her a set of matching collar and cuffs for Christmas. It was SO lovely to have a reason to have a bead making project again! Before, I was always just using what I had, and didn't know anything about bead or thread types etc. - I was working only from the bead weaving instruction book I had. Now, this time round, I have found a whole new wealth of wonder and information on the internet, but I am so new to so much of it, particularly bead and thread types. I had a specific question that I shall post in the forum which made me seek out jewellery forum sites, but I'm really looking forward to learning generally from all the experienced makers on here, and to seeing what other people are making. Thank you all for having me! And happy new year.

I should have said a dabbler and a beginner! I have looked at three posts in the show and tell room and already found myself quite literally saying, "Woooah" out loud. 😄 I have a lot to learn!

Thank you, Cat! And haha, okay. I'll post a picture of my netting when I finish it, and a link to the tutorial I'm following!
