I’ve started another quilt destined for Project Linus. I wanted it to be bright and cheery, and appropriate for either gender. The blocks are hand-pieced. I like hand-piecing because I can be more accurate, and it’s relaxing. 4 blocks done out of 20.

That's beautiful! I love the contrast between the dark and light parts.
Being completely clueless about quiliting, I'd like to know how long something like that takes you to make.

I love your work so far. I have tried quilting but just do not have the patience for it.

A dedicated quilter could finish a throw in 6 - 8 weeks. I am not a dedicated quilter. I roughly shoot for doing one block a week. So 5 months to complete the top if I stick to that schedule. And then there is the machine quilting. I’m pretty slow at that too. LOL! It does take a certain kind of patience, given the size of the project - especially if you are using all of your patience with beautiful beading projects.

It's beautiful!
I have toyed with the idea of taking up quilting, but I think I need to finish existing projects first.

It is so colorful and I love these colors together! Very nice work! I used to quilt Many years ago, bought books about quilting which have become vintage books by now (who would dream of u-tube and such) but admit I lost my patience with it. I still keep these books .
