I'm pretty sure we all have something on our dressers that hold jewelry. Here's what I have: The dish is a Nippon dish that was missing its cover and the bottom saucer is attached. Nippon is dated 1890 to 1920 so this really is 100 years old. Front and sides decorated with raised, hand painted gold paint:

Wow! Beautiful dish and beautiful jewelry, Sue!
I have assorted, Mexican Talavera pottery on my dresser and in my bathroom. It holds jewelry nicely! I also have a set of drawers made of plastic, in my bathroom, which houses several pairs of earrings in small baggies, bracelets, and necklaces. And...a basket with more jewelry!
I have a lot of jewelry.

Beautiful, Sue.
Since our bed is really high, I have a tall nightstand. The top 3 drawers are all jewelry.

I bought a hanging jewelry bag at Container Store for my necklaces, and my earrings are on a folding earring stand on my dresser. For my watch and rings I have a small ceramic dish on my nightstand.
Very pretty dish, Sue.

What a pretty dish! It's so nice that you use it.
My jewelry is all over the place to make it more difficult for burglars. That's my story and I stick with it.

I don't know how I missed this post. Well, I do. That's when we were on vacation and I wasn't around as much as I should have been. Beautiful dish and put to perfect use! Plus, how cool is it that it's survived 100 years and found it's way to you, Sue! Don't even ask me about my jewelry storage. I think it's time for a purge. Dawn
