Looking good, I have been reading on the subject too in the past but never got around of actually trying.

Yay, Caroline!!! Looks very nice and I really like the transparent beads. How long did it take you to learn? It took me a good 10 solid days of practice (between throwing the beads and thread at the wall, picking them back up, repeat) before things started to make sense. Supposedly you are supposed to hear or feel a click when the bead moves into place; I needed to keep pushing it with my finger. What did you use for the crochet thread? My instructor uses Miyuki crochet thread but the color didn't matter since it never really shows. (Yeah, right.)

It took me about 3 hours to get it right. I followed a YouTube video but cannot remember which one now. I just put bead crochet into the search and started at the beginning until I found one I understood. I have to say that this year I have been teaching myself to crochet with wool and I actually understand what to do so much better. I had a light bulb moment when I realised that the UK and US have different terms for the same stitch(DUH)so when I started to use the UK terms on the UK patterns it all made sense. It has only taken me about 4 years to realise this....I am a fast learner.

3 Hours? ? Well, I guess I will forgive you for having the instinct for crocheting with beads. I learned regular crochet 40 years ago but was really terrible at it. My problem was where the beads went other than at the bottom of the farthest wall when things got really frustrating. I tried YouTube and found many good videos, especially an animation moving slow enough to get things right. Now get cracking and more crochet! Fesco: after you log in click on the pic and it should pop up much larger. This doesn't work if you aren't logged in.
