This was one of those projects where everything went well and came together like the idea I had in my head. I'm really happy with the final result. The poppy is painted on a vintage hammered component with an antique brass finish and sealed with resin. A vintage brass button was used as part of the bail and paper beads in the same colors as the pendant were added to the black leather cord. Thanks for looking! Dawn

Thank you so much, Gayle and Caroline! Very much appreciate the kind comments. Caroline, they are paper beads. Anytime I see a page in a magazine or catalog that would make good beads, I tear it out and put it in a folder. When I need beads with big holes, I go through it to see if there are any pages that would match the pendant I'm using. I love rolling them up and seeing how they turn out; sometimes the page I thought would make fabulous beads doesn't and a page that I was so-so about produces wonderful beads. In this case, when I came across that page, I couldn't believe how closely the colors matched the colors in the poppy painting. What a stroke of luck! Dawn

Thank you, Carina! I think maybe the reason we're liking the colors is because they are fall colors and many of us are looking forward to the change of seasons. Dawn
