This metal leaf was part of a metal garden sculpture that was dismantled. I used my Dremel to cut the leaf from the metal rod to which it was attached. Then I carved three different leaf stamps out of half inch cork squares, coated them with paint in fall colors and stamped a whole bunch of leaves onto the metal leaf and sealed it with resin. On the back are remnants of gold paint - not much is left due to years of weather exposure, but I think there is just enough to give some cool accents. The pendant is attached to a golden quartz, serpentine, vintage gold glass beads and vintage brass chain necklace. Thanks for looking! Dawn

Thank you so much, ladies! Lately, I've been on an up-cycling, re-cycling, re-purposing phase - the challenge is interesting and fun. Carole, I learned that way back in junior high art when we carved stamps out of linoleum blocks and it still comes in handy now and then! Dawn

Thank you so much, Caroline and Daryl! Using vintage, recycled, re-purposed and upcycled items is a new direction for me, but one that I am really enjoying. Dawn

Thank you, Carina! Oh yes, looking forward to seeing your jade leaves! Dawn I'm afraid the leaves aren't jade, I think they are form iron. or very dirty brass or copper. I will go and have a look tomorrow.

My fault for saying jade leaves, Carina. You very clearly stated that you had metal leaves tied together with jade. That was my mental shorthand, I guess! Dawn
