I made this knotted cord and copper wire bracelet for the February "Finish It" challenge. It's attached to a double strand of red cotton cord which has been knotted using barrel knots. In between each knot is a copper spacer bead. I finished off the ends of the cord with a coiled copper wire cord ending thingy and used a copper lobster claw clasp. Thanks for looking! Dawn

I saw it in the finish it thread and forgot to comment there, Love the uniformity of the distances between the knots and your wirework. A shame I can't see your coiled wire thingy, I always loved to make those coils.

Absolutely love the mixed media! Of course I adore any thing copper and wire wrapped, but aside from being very unique and pretty, it also looks like it would be comfortable to wear as well!

Thank you, Michele and Karin! I've been wearing it all afternoon and it has turned out to be very comfortable. A bonus of adding the beads to the cord is that it's given the bracelet an equal distribution of weight so it doesn't tend to turn on the wrist like so many bracelets do. I love to wear bracelets and I always find it annoying when they do that. Dawn

Yes, distribution of weight! Sometimes it's not easy to get that balance just right!

Knots!!! More knots!!! Bring 'em on!!! I love how this seems to flow and ripple like a stream.

You're right, Karin! It's a common problem with bracelets. Sue, coming from our resident knot expert, I consider that high praise indeed! Thank you! Dawn

Thank you, Cat! I never know what will be next either! Yes, Karin. I think that's why I will never get tired of jewelry. There is always new material to work with, a new technique to learn, a new design to create and I also love the problem solving part of it. When something finally comes together and it actually works, it's such a good feeling. Dawn
