I have a bunch of vintage components that I'm modifying for use in future projects. Much of this work involves a dremel. Yesterday, I put a nice divet in my thumb nail and took a slice out of a knuckle. Doesn't really hurt, but the valley in my thumb nail kinda bugs me because it feels weird. I am smart enough to wear eye protection when using the dremel which is a very good thing! In what ways have you sacrificed your body for the good of your craft? Dawn

I hope you heal soon.
I have impaled my self on needles and various sharp objects. I have snipped my finger with a pair of cutters and sliced myself with fireline. All quite minor stuff really.

Dawn, at first I thought you were going to tell us you had stuck a brush in your eye. You were lucky to have done no more damage than you did. My motto is always wear eye protection. (And maybe keep my mouth shut at times.)
Lotty, like you them needles hurt. Lesson learned: always count the needles before you put a project away. I can't really remember anything bad. Hmmm, does that mean it was so bad it got blotted out of my memory???

I have slipped and impaled myself with tools many times. It hurts!
Dawn, I'm glad you didn't stick a brush in your eye. I would have been grossed out.

My hands get the worst of it. I am always cutting them, and once glued two fingers together. Fortunately I had debonder on hand.

Carole, I did that at work once with super glue. One of my co-workers very carefully sliced my fingers apart with a razor blade. She didn't even knick the skin but it was not something I could watch, so I closed my eyes while she sliced away. Dawn

Dawn, I will not even think of working with super glues without my debonder handy! You are lucky your coworker was so talented.

Needles. I like to stick them in my fingers. The crochet hook can be just as dangerous if you keep poking the same spot on your finger while working.
