Received a customer order from a sweet lady from Missouri: a wide textured sterling silver bangle. I wasn' t too keen on the order cos using a rolling mill (specially my moody rolling mill) with silver, you really only have the one shot to make it right. ok... Once upon a time there was an innocent 20 mm wide sterling silver strip It was annealed and textured with a rolling mill. afterwards given a round form after lots of cursing and sawing it was soldered I am quite proud of the seem off into the tumbler for a couple of hours The end of the story was a pleased customer who bought it straight away How about that for a jewelry artisan`s bed time story

Yep, lining up a wide bangle seem is not easy...that's why most bangles become cuffs. Then you have the added pressure of wasting a lot of silver if it doesn't quite mesh...nice work...glad it sold too.

No wonder your customer bought it. And taking pics of each step helps us to understand how these are made. (Ain't gonna ask about which particular curse words were used in the making.)

Thank you, Gaby. I guess we all get frustrated from time to time then the success is that much sweeter when it does work out, isn't it
