It was fun the one time I played, but it's really tough to commit to a whole month and I have to admit that I can already tell how many days I would miss this time due to the subject. "Spruce up your beading space today." Really?

I just wish I had the time to do this. x

I had fun with it last year as well. While I didn't meet every challenge, it was still a worthwhile endeavor because it really did help me focus on projects and get them done. I'm in, but am going to allow myself wiggle room to have days when I won't complete a particular challenge. Dawn

Dawn, agreed. I've already identified some I won't be doing due to lack of time to learn that technique. I'll be happy if I just get *something* done!

Absolutely. My feeling is that a month long commitment like this has to be part fun and part accomplishment. If it turns into something we start to dread rather than something we look forward to, there's not much point in doing it. It's not like we don't have other things going on that require our attention as well! I looked through the list and have also identified the ones I won't be able to do for various reasons. Thanks for posting this again - I really did enjoy doing it last year. Dawn

I'm totally not 'getting' this. I'm not trying to be difficult either but to do something with no 'end game' except to have some fun...seems strange.
I'd love to do our monthly challenges but I rarely get to them. This is a challenge every day? That just seems painful to me.
I guess, trust me when I say this is truly a guess, that I've done that before. I just made a focal with buttons and shoe buckles that I know has no chance of being sold...I did it because I wanted to, if nothing else it 'should' be fun. What I'm thinking/guessing is that I did have that little voice that said someone else will love this and pay.
What you said, Dawn, has me totally discombobulated. I don't like feeling that way.

Well, see...because I'm gone from home 10-12 hours a day due to the day job, I very rarely do anything jewelry related during the week as after making dinner and cleaning up there just isn't the time or energy. I try to make it up on weekends, but many times the weekends are taken up with other things like errands, chores, cleaning and sometimes socializing. A challenge like this is a way for me to commit to doing something jewelry related every day. Granted, I won't do some of the challenges because they don't pertain to me, but doing those that do keeps me feeling like I'm somewhat still connected to the jewelry community. Hope that makes sense. Dawn

Here is my submission for March 1 - Make a Cute Pair of Earrings: Not sure which day I'll do next. I know for sure I'm not having a beading party today, probably won't feel like making a bracelet/earring set tomorrow, but maybe on March 4 (Tuesday), I'll take some time to spruce up my work area. It sure could use it! Dawn

Dawn, I love those! Definitely a cute pair.
Did not have a bead party, but I went ahead and tidied up my work area today. If it snows tonight so I don't have to go to my client, I'll post my earrings tomorrow.
