I'm aware this isn't a question that is easy to answer. Many of us work with all kinds of stones. Maybe there is one that is especially dear to your heart, though. A stone that outnumbers the others in your stash, a stone you just can't resist to get when you see it. Or you find yourself browsing that category in a lapidary shop over and over again. Mine is labradorite and I think it's easy to see why.

My favorite stone would be tanzinite...I've never worked with it.
To work with is a tough one...probably agates; so much variety, beautiful colors and they don't break.

It's hard to narrow it down to one stone, but if I had to, it would probably be tourmaline.

Before finished reading my first thought was labradorite. Then any jasper. Then any agate. Then turquoise. Then ...... I can relate. Can you believe for example that I didn't use to like jasper? All I wanted was sparkle in the old days and I'm still a sucker for faceted stones. Now I still have a beautiful jasper cab in my stash that I got for myself and I don't know how to start on it!

Well, Cat, I think you'll just have to send me that cab to me for safe keeping until you figure things out. And while you're at it send that labradorite too!
