Interesting find Thom...doesn't seem to be much substance there.

It's actually pretty cool if you poke around a bit. Type in www.starvingjewelryartists.com in the search box and clickable calendars come up. Then click on the highlighted dates and snapshots of the old forum appear. I didn't spend a whole lot of time at it, but what I did see was a trip down memory lane! Saw a lot of familiar names and topic titles that I still remember. Going to check it out again when I have more time. Thanks Thom! Dawn

"Newbie from Germany says Hi
Hi guys, I just stumbled upon this forum (via Etsy) and wanted to say Hello. About two months ago I discovered wire crocheting (yes, again via Etsy) and ever since I am trying, failing and rarely succeeding (IMG:http://cageycrafters.invisionzone.com/style_emoticons/default/wink6.gif) I won't give up, though! Now I first have to figure out how to use this forum. For starters two of my first attempts, I just wish my camera was better."
Guess what! That was me *lol*

Ha! I remember that post, Cat! Look how far you've come since then with your wire crochet and now you're looming too. Nice to see that some of our history has been preserved. Dawn

To be honest, sometime I miss the old place and it's members.

The times were still a little different then, Carina. It reminds me of highschool or college or even work ... people moving on, new people joining, platforms changing. There was less Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest and I don't know what to suck up people's times, and of course there were the technical problems with SJA. There was a lot going on in the background. I think we were all sad that SJA kind of blew up unexpectedly, but the only other choice would have been to let it die. Instead we chose to make JAC a new home for us, and there is more work and heart in it that might be seen at first glance.

I knew about the problems on the back-end from SJA, and I know how much work it is to keep a good forum running. You lot do a hell of a job on it. Maybe it's because of the colours and the layout, give it some time to get used to and I will kick my boots in the corner and I pull up a chair again. Attachment Deleted
