My etching came out good (not perfect) but I had to share it. The main design is taken from a Navajo rug. I transferred design on to a piece of glossy magazine page, used vintage no steam iron to transfer on to the copper, added resist (industrial sharpie) and taped it off. It took about 50 min of anxiety to get the depth of etch I desired. next steps, a bit of steel working, do the lip bending, then decide on edge treatment and finish. the plate is 4x5 inches. Thank you, for looking. Brad

Looks fabulous, Brad! (I couldn't get a close-up look at it, when I click on the picture it takes me to a picture about retirement and the open road.) But it looks so intricate. Very impressive.

It looks great! I also got the picture that Carole described. Weird, I've never seen something like that happen here. I just copied the image, put it in my image viewer, and zoomed in there.

Ok, I clicked reposted image and it did take me to a blow up image this time. The result of this etch that I am much pleased with, is the rug texture resist held up to give it a pseudo aquatint type effect. Brad

I love rugs with various folklore designs. This Navajo rug has a beautiful design.

That is beautiful, Brad. Nice job with the engraving. I'm still seeing the retirement/road photo when I try to enlarge. Weird. Dawn

Thank you, for commenting everyone. I wish I knew how that happened on the first image. I have never had that occur. Like it is some embedded hijack? I am adding some stamped accent lines extending from the border graphics to break up open space. Brad
