A large screen at the movies always makes a difference, but we have seen it so often and still enjoy it immensely. Only the first one, though.

Yes.The first one was kind of scary at the time. I t really frightened me. The movie is considered a masterpiece and I agree that the large screen is much more effective. But the movie makers and technical effects in movies have become much more sophisticated since then. Personally, I prefer to watch well written dramas, or comedies. However - I like your sharks. The are cute and not scary

Sure, technology has developed in leaps and bounds, in the movie industry just like in other fields. To me it's simply a matter of personal taste. I prefer the older animated movies, old classics, I love black and white movies and too much CGI bores me. Jaws is playing with a deep seated fear that a lot of people still have. If others are fans of superhero movies or action movies with a lot of smooth special effects, that's fine by me, but I don't want to watch them That's also why I often prefer an original movie to the remake. There's enough out there for all of us, and Jaws has been one of my favorite movies for 40 years, that's not going to change now

Dear Cat, I accept you as you are. Enjoy what ever makes you feel good. If Jaws makes you feel good it is fine.
I really don't like super heroes with special effects etc. I avoid them. Give me a nice French or English comedy with good actors (not the silly ones) and I will watch it happily.
