This is my second silver tri-wire project. Argghhh! I had such great hopes to produce a Navajo-esq cuff. But, it was not meant be. This became truly a salvage project or scrap it to the silver coffin. My stamping failed (due to inadequate annealing) and more. So I sanded much it down and just started hammering on with line stamps and texture hammers to cover up bad work. I polished to a high sheen and it sparkled liked cheap jewelry at Walmart! So then a sanded back to matte/satin-ish finish. I made it for me, so I will wear it some then decide what to do with it? That said, I am learning, and hope to but more tri-wire and more stamps in the future. Brad

Brad, it may not have turned out the way you had in mind, but I think it is still a success. You learned from it, which is always useful, and you ended up with a lovely piece of jewelry. Sometimes, we have a vision of what we want to make in our minds, but the material simply refuses to bend to our will and that's when we just have to let them be what they want to be. Dawn

Dawn, Thank you, and your words of wisdom is so true. I take a bit of comfort, since my dermatologist won't let me wear short sleeve shirts (in daylight) The cuff will spend much of its time, under my cuff. ;-) Brad

Well, I certainly hope you let it peek out from under your cuff from time to time. It's too nice to be completely hidden away. Dawn

Do you have an idea how many hours I have spent on projects which haven't turned out the way I wanted them to? How many I have ripped up? Like Dawn said, I've learned from them and sometimes I found a way to save them. Maybe the cuff will grow on you and if not, you have options for dealing with that, but the experience you have gained from it is never wasted It may not look an NA design to you, but maybe you will see something else in it? I can't say why, but I'm getting ancient South American vibes from it myself.

Every once in a few years I like to make a cuff bangle too.
