Some time ago, I got the chance to get an ammonite with lab-created Bello opals (I knew seen other ammonites by that artist, but had never heard of Bello opal before). When she polished it, the edge got chipped and as she didn't want it to end up in the drawer, she asked if someone wanted it for a good price. This is what I have done with it. I had had a thread up on the WIP board because I couldn't decide on a bail, but have since worked out how to add something to the back to have no visible bail at all (something I like a lot), so I deleted that thread. If you want to know details how I did this, it's on my blog.

Oh wow. I love everything about this from the ovals added to the ammonite to your beautiful beaded bezel which is absolutely the perfect vehicle to show off this beautiful fossil. Very nice! Dawn

Thank you, Michelle! My only problem with it is that I don't usually wear gold, but silver wouldn't have worked
