I got an early start on one of February’s Spoonflower Challenges: frogs for leap year. I knew it would be difficult for me, and I wasn’t wrong. After trying 92 designs (okay that is a bit of an exaggeration), I finally landed on this one: It’s really quite ridiculous. But some of my most ridiculous designs have sold whereas more traditional ones have not. Besides, it was fun!

You know I love "ridiculous" (I don't really think anything of yours so far has been truly ridiculous, though)! They are very cute.

From the bright vivid colors to the sweet little frogs I love this design! A lot of people are fans of frogs; I could see this being quite popular. Dawn

Thanks so much ladies! When I was researching frogs, I fell in love with these brightly colored frogs. I told Dan they looked like a kindergartner colored them. 🤣

I like frogs. A few enameled on metal frogs are both in the house, and used as ornaments in our herb wire racks. Growing up in Wichita, we used to have a lot toads around. I guess there are just too many outdoor cats around nowadays. I have not seen a toad in a yard or on a city walk in decades. The creeks and drainage paths still hold small frogs. Brad

Cute frog design Michelle.
I am a frog fan too. Behind my studio in Ein Carmel, there was a tiny swamp and every evening the frogs gave us great concerts...I have quite a collection of frog miniatures which I've collected through the years.

Irith, when I lived in rural Kansas (Coffeyville, Brad), I used to love listening to the frogs in the spring. I tried doing a more traditional bullfrog - and may go back to it - but I admit to having a lot of trouble getting the nuanced color changes right. However these red-eyed tree frogs have definite patterns and bright color changes that are easier for me.
Thanks everyone!
