Though I have soldered rings of metal for other uses, I have never made a ring to where on a finger. Again, I am thinking about show stock. I can't make enough rings to cover every size, so is there a general size, or range of ring sizes, you make the rings? Also, I have never tried to resize (larger, or smaller) rings?
I would like to hear your suggestions and comments. Brad

All but one of my ring sales have been in sizes 6, 6.5 and 7 with the exception of one which was a 9. According to a couple of online sites I looked at, the average ring size for a woman is a 6 while men vary from 8 to 10. I have not sold that many rings over the years, but those that I sold varied in size greatly. A 6 to 7 would not fit me, for example. It's also hard to say because in my time we mostly wore rings on the middle and the ring finger. Now you see them everywhere from pinky to thumb, something I could never get used to |

I guess it does make those 6 to 7 size rings more wearable for adults if you are not a "ring finger only" type of person. Brad |

I found a length of sterling half-round wire, that is perfect ring band size. I formed a ring, and soldered it, before leaving on a job.
It came out as a 6-1/2 size ring. Now I will decide on a texture for it. I have a good selection of vintage round cabachons, so I will likely make a another with a silver bezel mount cabachon. I think they are about 6-8 mm or so? I will make more rings with different textured finishes. Brad
