Ok, full disclosure…I was at my brother’s Architectural Salvage shop. I was looking for an old dome shaped solid metal door knob, to use as a doming thing to mount in a vice, when I found this object. A twisted solid iron pull ring, About silver dollar size. To repurpose, All I did was file a rough spot on the cord tab, and made a slip-knot leather rope to hang it. But, I am thinking about doing some things like this with copper, silver, and bronze. Pendents, bracelets, etc. brad

Thank you, I left the patina on it, as is. Perfect, imo. Brad

Great save! I love making jewelry out of found/salvaged items. Absolutely, pursue twisted designs further. I really like the look and it's quite fun to twist wire with a drill. I'm not hijacking your thread, wanted to show you this clasp I made by twisting two strands of 20g wire together. Now that I think about it, it might have been 22g as 20 was too thick for a clasp. I really can't recall. There are so many possibilities of things you can do with twisted wire. Also, I'd really like to visit your brother's shop. Lucky you, having access to such a treasure chest! Dawn

My Californian friend liked to drag me to such shops. I say "drag" because I wouldn't have been able to bring any of the things home that I loved and that was sad. I remember one shop, though, that was next to an antique shop where I found a vintage American Girl Barbie at quite a good price, and therefore I never forgot that first shop, either. They had a gorgeous old porcelain sink with a flower decor there. That would have been fun on the plane

My version of a Viking knot necklace. First piece. Not perfect. The beads are Amazonite.

My version of a Viking knot necklace. The beads are Amazonite. Yours took a tad more work, than mine. ;-) Nice piece. Brad
