On my list for a long time, bead embroidery to the rescue once again. Since we don't have Thanksgiving, I am not feeling a bit guilty for getting ready for Christmas in my own, non-religious, ritual loving way

He's beautiful, Cat! I've only seen a live cardinal once - in my sister's backyard in Florida. They don't live this far west which mean seeing that cardinal was pretty darn exotic to me. You've nailed it with your interpretation - well done! Dawn

Thank you, Dawn! We don't have cardinals, but robins (while the American robins are very pretty, I think European ones are cuter being all round and sweet). I had royally messed up the beak, but that's a story for another time, you will see why. So I'm glad you like him

We enjoy our many cardinals that come to feed on my daily bird food broadcast. I like your cardinal piece. Brad

I love cardinals, although we don't have them here. Your handmade one is beautiful.

Thank you, Irith A lady asked me now if I could put it aside for her. One of cardinal legends is that they remind people of their lost ones, that's why she'd like to have it.
