Welp, with all my distractions, I strayed off the challenge path. I remembered Fall, but not Harvest. My apologies! So here is my submission: Fall always makes me think of owls. I was excited to use this ornate fellow. The only problem are those triangle beads on the first strand. They want to hang both correctly and completely turned up. It’s so bad that I am thinking of removing that strand and redoing it with something else because I’m not sure how to make them behave. But the idea is pretty.

How pretty, Michelle! You are so good at multistrand necklaces!
If you really redo the first strand - I know how obsessed I can be about such things - do you think it would help to "relax" it by maybe adding small beads on either side of the big beads and thus of the triangles, so the triangles can't get hung up on the big beads? Or what do you think the problem is?

Very pretty, Michelle! I can see why you wanted to use the owl bead; it's beautiful. The triangle beads are very cool, but how annoying that they won't hang properly. I've had similar problems and it's really frustrating, especially when you have your heart set on a particular bead or component. In my stash, there is a rectangular shaped toggle clasp that I would love to use, but it won't stay closed so it's basically useless to me. I like Cat's suggestion; it's certainly worth a try. Ha, Cat! We need some fruit added to this thread! Dawn

First off ladies, I was remiss in forgetting to say how awesome your harvest pieces are. The pumpkin is so cute in his basket. And the corn on the cob earrings are adorable.
I’ve considered trying seed beads next to the triangles, and I may still give it a shot. I think the issue is that the holes for the triangle beads are cut on an angle to maintain the triangle shape. The triangles only butt up against the other beads at the top of the hole. I think this causes them to move. Maybe some kind of tear drop shape beads?

Dawn, these corn earrings are so cute .
Michelle , I love all your necklaces. These brown ones are exactly something I would have gladly worn with my blouse yesterday.

Michelle, seed beads or something else that size was what I thought. You say the butt up against the other beads at the top of the hole and I think smaller beads might relax that movement a little while the weight of the bigger beads is too pushy. Sorry, I just couldn't find the right words, lol.

Thank you, Michelle and Irith, for the sweet words! Yea, I like the seed bead idea. Bigger beads would also take attention away from the triangles and they should be the star of the show. Dawn

Dawn I used bigger beads because I was trying to make the triangle beads go farther, but I’ve since found 2 more. 😄 Since we three are all thinking the same thing, maybe we are on to something.

I love the big beads with the triangles, but as they "misbehave" I would separate the big beads from the triangles with tiny round metal beads between them in this order: triangle, small metal bead, large bead, small metal bead, triangle. etc.,

I may give that a try too Irith. I’m going to try and make them behave!
