This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is SEPTEMBER. Post anything September makes you think of (including September birthstones!). Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made five years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler.
We hope to see a lot of creative pics of your SEPTEMBER jewelry.
We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us?
The Oldies but Goodies Challenges will last two weeks, so you have enough time to share your items! To make it easier, the end date is in the subject now.

Thanks, Cat! It kind of feels like cheating when you just have to string them on. But I really loved their color and shape.

No cheating, not even kind of. I suck at stringing myself which is why I rather bead a rope for a pendant than to string something that doesn't look right to me. You have to have an eye for the combination, I think, and you do.

I love your pieces Michelle. The earrings in the middle would suit me best.
Cat I love the beaded bracelet and its colorful and beautiful design.

Looks like Cat, Irith and I all had the idea to post our pieces today! Michelle, don't ever denigrate your stringing work. As Cat says, it takes an eye for color, shape and style to instinctively know what works together. Some people never figure it out. I started out stringing and I still enjoy stringing beads and components together. The pieces you've posted are perfect for this challenge. Those colors are what come to my mind when I think of September and the way you've put them together is lovely. My favorite is the last necklace; I love those square beads! Cat...my goodness, but that little basket is adorable and it certainly brings a late summer/early fall harvest to mind. Your beaded fall leaves are wonderful and I'm lovin' the fringe on that cuff! Irith, you have certainly captured the essence of September with those fabulous earthy colors and beautiful works of jewelry art. It's impossible to choose a favorite as I love them all. Dawn

When I think of September, I think of... ...sunflowers, which are in full bloom right now and just reaching their peak. This started out as a sunflower, but it's been decided it looks more like Echinachea (cone flower) which is another late summer bloomer. And, this isn't really a sunflower, but it resembles one. Dawn

Such perfect entries, Cat! They are all so warm and lovely. I’m especially amazed by the basket of fruit.
Irith, beautiful one and all! I don’t think I’ve seen the last two pieces before.
Dawn, I love your sunflowers in all over their renditions! I think the first is my favorite.

Thank you all!
This challenge has truly become a big basket of September beauties, I'm really struggling with picking favorites because all the colors, shapes, and designs are so stunning. Of course I'm always partial to your opal pieces, Irith, and Dawn, I do love the cone flower, probably because I love it in nature as well, even more than sunflowers.
