Again, before doing more metal and jewelry work, I did more woodworking projects. This is an assortment of cheese slicers I made with exotic woods, laminates, composites, inlays, and guitar strings-which I have many. (This wood was leftovers from making exotic wood handles on knives-thus the dimensions) The thumb screw is so one can keep the wire tight, so it rings like a guitar string. I found too often broke the string by trying cutting cold hard cheese. I never made another batch, using larger gauge strings. Brad

I just love the colors of wood. Useful and beautiful makes a good combo. Pity that the strings broke.

Unfortunately, cold hard cheese if pulled through too fast straight down through, sometimes broke em. Brad
