Hi Mig and welcome to JAC! Hope you like what you see around here. If you are like many of us and making jewelry in your studio yourself, rather than hire a rep, you might be better off to take samples of your work to local shops and galleries in person and try to work out consignment arrangements on your own. It seems like a sales rep would work best for people who are in a position of having a company that manufactures jewelry (whether small or large) rather than an individual who is creating pieces one at a time. If you are willing to give us more details about your operation/studio, that would help us give you an answer more specific to your situation. Good luck to you with your business venture! Dawn

Gallery owners I know all like to have a face to face relationship with their artists.
Like Dawn said, reps are primarily hired by manufacturers and design houses that move a lot of product.
What kind of work do you do? One of a kinds, production, a little of both?
