Dear all, can you advise me how this type of strand-ends on the clasp work? Or what is they are called - if I knew, maybe I could find a tutorial. I think this looks very elegant! Thank you! s. Attachments:

Could you please post the full image of jewellery?
I guess this could be a pearl bracelet or necklace from the pics posted here.

I'm with navi, I think these are strung pearls and bead caps/end caps. Have you looked up tutorials on bead caps on YouTube yet or tutorials on how to knot pearls (they should show how to use end caps, too)?

Thank you both! Could you please post the full image of jewellery? I guess this could be a pearl bracelet or necklace from the pics posted here. I don't have a full image, this was an advertisement for clasp being sold. I found a picture without any beads yet strung.

But end caps have a hole on top and the loop is made; whereas here (picture in post above) the loop which attaches to clasp is part of the end cap. (They also have a normal version of this clasp):

There are end caps with the loops attached to them, too. Usually the last bead on each side is glued in with a strong glue if it looks like in your picture.

Aha, I see. I have to think whether I want to use/buy glue before ordering this... Thank you! Have a nice evening.

I don't think I'd feel comfortable about how secure glue on bead caps would be. If I were to use a clasp like this, it would be for my personal use. I wouldn't sell jewelry that used a system like this as I'd be worried the connection would fail. It does look nice though. Dawn

I feel the same way, Dawn, you know how I am with glue. On the other hand bead crochet ropes are usually glued into bead caps and while I have only made one so far, I was surprised how secure that feels. In fact, I don't think it will ever come out of there again. I have also used glue on bead loomed bracelet (under the ribbon crimps) and it's the same there. When ripping up a bracelet, I always had to cut the ends off.
I saw a documentary on glue once and I was amazed at all the things that are glued today which we wouldn't even think of. It's probably a matter of the right glue and the right handling.
