Made this necklace recently, and know that I can improve on it. Someone suggested that they'd be interested in a version tapered at at their neck for when wearing oxford shirts. Know that I would need to create a decrease/increase. Also think it would be better with various finishes of blacks with specks of dark gray(?). Also thinking to make wider and odd count. When you look at the ribbon Chevron-type end... it's not even on both sides. Not sure if it's because I'm posting from cellphone but can't see where to add the image directly to the post. Look forward to feedback. PS Switched to desktop view and added photo. Attachments:

Beautiful! I have no suggestions as I just don’t have that level of skill. But I really like this piece.

It's interesting that you thought about making it wider, my first thought was to make it slimmer, but I think that that's just personal preference. If you make it wider, that will probably give it even more of a necktie look, while slimmer makes it more like a necklace. Unless you make it slim in the middle for a shirt and then increase towards the both tips.
I like the idea and think you may be on to something with the different finishes of blacks to break up that long strip a bit and give it more life to remind more of fabric maybe which also changes color in light.

I don't know whether it should be wider or or slimmer. It looks perfect to me. Classy necktie!

Thanks, Irish. Was trying to create something fast for consignment. It didn't pan out, though. I don't know whether it should be wider or or slimmer. It looks perfect to me. Classy necktie!

Thanks, Cat... I finished it and left it alone. Maybe for future necklace will try variations on a single color to make them more lively.
