Hi all, I accidentally bought some 20MM round beads (didn't pay close enough attention to the size) and am at a loss as to what to do with them. I think they are too big for a bracelet but I'm used to working with mostly 6-8mm sizes. Any thoughts?

Hi and welcome to the forum It may help if you post a picture of the beads. Are they all the same color? Are they glass? Are there enough for a necklace for example or do you have beads to string in combination with them? I see ladies wearing big bead necklaces all the time. What techniques do you usually do? If you do beadweaving, for example, you could - if you don't mind hiding them - use them for inside beaded beads.

Added pic, I was told they are gaspeite but I don't think they are considering the price I paid. Maybe they are howlite. I have a full 16 inch strand. As far as technique, I do many different designs, weaving, ladder bracelets, peyote, many different beads on one strand.

Wire wrap them? The beads are really pretty. I can see why you bought them.

I hadn't thought of that, thanks Michelle! It will be a challenge for me, I haven't done much wire work.

I think you can get a few different pieces out of them. They are really lovely. I can see them as focal pieces in necklaces, have a few of them strung with smaller beads. Michelle's idea of wire wrapping them would work well, for earrings in a style like this one for example or another easy design if you haven't done much wirework yet.

Thanks, I'm going to give it a try with wire wrapping. Got a long way to go before I could do some as nice as the earrings. Learn something new every day as they say.

You could also try adding a beaded band around them utilising the holes to keep it in place and then embellish them.
