I don't know who of you remember Maryann, she used to be a forum member, too, and has a website for cabs. She started selling Tumbleweed cabs now. In Scotland I fell in love with the Heathergems, but there are only finished pieces of jewelry available, no cabs. I thought I'd share a picture of the first one I got. It's tumbleweed that is debarked, dyed, heated and compressed, and then cut into slabs and made into cabs.

Cat, that is so beautiful! Is it really made of tumbleweed - like the dried up plant that rolls down the road when it's windy? It's just mesmerizing and reminds me of stained glass. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Of course, you realize that you've now added to your stash, right? Also, I remember MaryAnn. It would be cool if she'd consider re-joining us. Dawn

Yes, it's tumbleweed, Dawn. I never said I wasn't going to buy anything at all, by the way. I knew that wouldn't happen. I did use my stash at least once, even twice in a week, and not just one piece, so I think that's okay

At the risk of repeating myself, it's just gorgeous. Nah, it's ok - I said beautiful last time. Hey, girlie, as long as you're using up your stash while adding to your stash, it's all good! That is one cab that I can see hanging on to and not ever letting it leave your stash! Dawn

It will have to wait for my copper wire which is waiting to finish an annoying and boring WIP, but then I think it might leave my stash quicker than expected.
I would like to try out some of the colors, too ...

Maryann's husband passed away recently. Her son is taking over making the cabs. I know she appreciates the sales.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. How sad for her - they were partners in their business. Hope she's doing ok and I'm glad she has her son to step in to work with her.
