Went to a wonderful wedding yesterday. It was held in a field, under a peaceful grove of trees. The transportation was by horse cart for those who didn't or couldn't walk to it and there was a bride and groom scarecrow pair on the way. The minister was ordained off the internet, the groom wore red suspenders, and the ring bearer was a very large and shaggy dog. My date had bought a new phone with a camera. And wouldn't you know it the phone broke and he was unable to take photos.
Which made me wonder how far I could have thrown the phone??? Anyone else have a similar experience?

Forget about the phone, we want to hear about your date.

Well, he's the first date since the divorce four years ago. And he's probably one of the most intelligent men I've met. His background is similar to mine, art education, but he's had a wide and varied career path. He has a great sense of humor and isn't afraid to laugh at himself. And he's an artist with wood. Meaning his woodworking skill is unbelievable. The wood and furniture in his house is somewhat in the simple Shaker style. And, what I feel is an insight to his character: he makes furniture for disabled children depending on each situation. Here's a link to his website although it hasn't been updated for a while: www.ablegeneration.com/navigation.htmlOh, and he makes to-die-for chocolate chocolate chip cookies.

Actually, we've been having "sort of dates" for a couple of months. Based on our past histories that suits us both. Neither wants to pressure the other and we both like our own "alone time".

Smart! You don't want to rush anything and as I've always told my boys: you have to be friends, first and foremost.

That sounds good, Sue There's no sense in trying to put pressure on each other

*happy sigh* He makes to die for chocolate chip cookies - he's perfect! The wedding sounds wonderful; like stepping back to simpler times. Good for you, Sue! Dawn
