So, here's the first constructive post: your camera is your friend! Here's my friend: This was a first try and not fixed: As you can see, there's quite a difference. The original is dark and the white is gray. And I have been trying to upload from Photobucket. It's changed quite a bit since I first used it. What worked for me was to just click on the URL code (not the "thumb version).

Hmmm, Koolbraider, the link does not work for me. Is that because you can't take a picture of a camera with itself :-)

Okay, after I left the above message the page refreshed and the camera picture showed up. Looks like it is a Canon. What is the black thing it is sitting on?

Yup, it's a Canon PowerShot A710 with IS (image stabilization). I turned a little waste basket upside down and covered it with a white sheet and set it in front of my bathroom mirror. I was shooting at ISO 80 f2.8 and a 10 second delay. That black thing is the "shoe" that allows me to quickly attach the camera to my tripod. I also had it set to daylight which is why the pic was very dark; the window is small and has a blackout curtain over half of it. BUT: after a bit of PhotoShop things were brightened and cropped (didn't wash my hair today; didn't want to scare anyone.)
See the next post about the grays.
