This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is CASUAL. We last did that in 2019. Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made five years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler.
We hope to see a lot of creative pics of your CASUAL jewelry.
We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us?
The Oldies but Goodies Challenges will last two weeks, so you have enough time to share your items! To make it easier, the end date is in the subject now.

Hey Cat. You call these beauties casual?! They look too good to me to be described as "casual". Artistic is more like it! I love them all. The leafy white pendant is my choice this time.

Thank you very much, Irith, I went by "what would/could you throw on with a pair of jeans without thinking much".
And I could say that right back to you. I love the long drops, especially the faceted stones, because that's a shape I have always been drawn to, but my favorite is definitely the pendant. As if you had captured a piece of ice, gorgeous!

It’s a learning topic for me. Such as, a drop vs a dangle. What is casual vs formal? I like the silver wire with garnets(?) ear rings the best. Though all are nice. Brad

Thank you, Brad Casual is in the eye of the beholder. Like I said, I went by "what would/could you throw on with a pair of jeans without thinking much". Of course I have been known to wear diamonds with a tee and jeans. To me, a drop (from how I've seen the term being used) can just be the drop shape or a component that hangs from the bottom, same as a dangle. In my sales groups, people really use both for the same thing because the drops in the earrings, such as charms, lampwork, wire components, crystal usually also dangle.

Well, I would happily wear any one of these beautiful pieces for casual or dress up! Cat, I love the dangly earrings with the drops - so fun, yet elegant too. Irith, I'm with Cat on the pendant. It really does look like you captured a piece of ice. Dawn

Thank you, Dawn!
These are all great pieces! I had completely forgotten about your cool scorpion.

Oh wow, everyone has such beautiful pieces! Cat, I don’t think I’ve seen the feather before. Very cool! I love your whimsical style. Irith, I never think of your jewelry as casual. It’s all so elegant. But I’d wear all of these pieces with jeans anyway. I don’t think I’ve seen the last necklace before. What is the stone? Dawn, I absolutely love the scorpion. But would happily wear any of these pieces.

Thank you, Cat and Michelle! I'm still thinking about making a series of wire zodiac signs, but time is not on my side these days. Michelle, all of your things are perfect for casual, which is my favorite way to dress! I'm very hard pressed to choose a favorite, but I think it's a tie between the washer necklace and the last one you posted. Dawn
