This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is TREES. We last did this topic in 2015. (We have been out of suggestions for the challenges for a while, so I thought I'd just mention the suggestion thread to you again jewelryartisans.proboards.com/thread/4307/oldies-goodies-challenge-suggestion-thread)Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made five years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler. We hope to see a lot of creative pics of your TREE jewelry. We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us? The Oldies but Goodies Challenges will last two weeks, so you have enough time to share your items! To make it easier, the end date is in the subject now.

Cat, I looked at the list and couldn't think of anything to add. It really covers a lot of categories. While I was typing this, I thought of fabric/textiles; I didn't see that on the list. Then thinking about fabric led me to think of macrame/macrame look. You have enough suggestions on the list, that you could probably start at the top and work your way through it and it would take us a couple of years to do all of them. Dawn

I did the first Oldies post on my blog in October 2014 and we had the challenge even before that, so yes, that's a lot of topics! No surprise it's tough coming up with something new. We talked about textiles/fabric once, but no one had anything at the time, so it was taken off the list. I know Michele always tried and so do I to pick something that will probably work for everyone.

I'm going to start this thread with a few trees of mine This was a bezel around a coin, but flexible, so I could pop the coin back out and sew the tree in instead and add the bunny My trees of life on pebbles

I love your trees, Cat! All of them!
Sadly, I am treeless. I’d like to make a tree, but my hands can’t handle the wire right now. 😢

Thank you, Michelle!
Do you maybe have a tree charm?

I love all of your trees, Cat! I don't think I've seen the last one before; that is very cool. A tree of life is something I've never tried to make, although I've thought about it. Might be time to give that a try once I get moved into my studio - something that might happen this weekend! Dawn

A few from me - I'm having to stretch the definition of tree just a bit: This panda is sitting in a tree: Snake hiding in a tree: Pine cones and pine needles grow on pine trees: This leaf also grew on a tree: Dawn

A tree, branches, it all works for me I actually think I like the snake best although it's a very tough choice. I love the movement, but also how the scales are picked up in the bezel, a great combination.

Oooops, my bad. That is a koala, not a panda! Dawn

Thank you, Cat! I'm really glad that you picked up on the scale like texture of the bezel. That's why I chose to use it, but I wasn't sure if other people would see the same thing I did. Dawn
