I am happy to report that I finished my earrings today and I also took photos. If I don't get them posted tonight, I will for sure tomorrow. Having failed to complete the last two challenges, it makes me quite happy that I got it done this time. Dawn

Here they are! My first challenge was to actually successfully complete the challenge since Ive been slacking in that department. The focal beads came from a box of beads I was given when I first started making jewelry. All of the beads in this box are either oddballs; none of them really match each other and I've always struggled with what to do with them. I finally decided that the focals didn't have to match perfectly, and once I got past that, I was able to turn these two into a pair of earrings. Now that I've broken that barrier, maybe I will figure out other ways to use the odds and ends in the box of beads. Dawn

They are beautiful, Dawn! The focals don't have to match perfectly? *gasp* Actually I wouldn't even have been able to tell that here! I like the soft blue combo you chose.

Thank you Michelle:)
Dawn, they are lovely. I love the idea of the spiral beginning at the top of the beads along the larger bead design to the lower part with the loop. Brilliant idea.

Awww, thank you so much, Cat and Irith! I'm trying to break out of my "everything must be a perfect match" mindset. It's actually rather liberating. Irith, I was going for a graceful curve with the wire and I'm so glad you like it. Dawn

Here’s what I finally did with the back of my earrings. Fabric and glue.

That's a great solution, Michelle. The fabric reminds me of zebra stripes. That will look cool as the earrings move around while being worn. And, may I just say that I LOVE your scissors! Dawn

Thank you Dawn and Cat! Dawn, you can find tiny scissors like that in quilt shops (or probably Amazon).

Hey Cat, you wished to see what I did with the other half of the earrings, so I finally got to it. Here: I hope you like the change of design too.

Michelle, I just saw your solution with the fabric and glue - wonderful idea. I also like the vintage pair of scissors next to them.
