The last one has arrived unharmed. They learned from the first time and packed it better this time.

What a nice thing for Dan to do - he's a keeper! I'd say washers definitely qualify as found objects. You did a fantastic job using them. I love the earrings with the washers starting big and gradually becoming smaller. Actually, I love everything you made! Beautiful work, Michelle! I can tell by looking at them, that you had fun. Well done! Dawn

Definitely found objects and you did a great job with them! How nice of Dan to get you all of these. I really like the idea with the wrapped crystals, copper and red goes so well together.

Thanks so much, Cat! These washers have opened a number of possibilities. I also like copper and blue / turquoise / green together.

I like how different colors look with copper. Add red to silver or blue to silver, it will not be same as the difference of blue and red with copper. Maybe that's just me, though. I am very much a silver tone person, but copper has opened up completely different paths for me, not just because of the price.

I have a plan now and I can say as much that there will be a skull. I haven't used one of the crystal AB ones yet. Apart from that, I don't know yet if it's going to work out.

There are very few colors that don't pair well with copper, but I think blue and green with copper are my favorites. Can't wait to see what you do, Cat. I'm still trying to find a found item! Dawn

It won't be that exciting, Dawn, you'll see why, but I still like the idea and I'm definitely getting there.

And it's done! As you can see, it's a version of the pirate medallion, only this one is really hard to take a picture of because of the rainbow effect of the skull and the found object - which is a vintage watch glass. It's not recycled, but old stock and still had the original label glued to it. My original plan had not been to use one of the skulls, but I found an old onyx ring from my very early jewelry making days, and the skull fit right in. As I still have two watch glasses, I can play with the design, I'll just have to find something ring like that works with their sizes. When Michelle said that the last skull looked kind of enshrined, it reminded me of church relics which are sometimes protected by glass and that made me think of watch glasses. Now you know why sending them just in plastic baggies in a padded envelope was not very smart. I'm still surprised that two of the four had made it! For the sides of the skull I chose golden hexagon beads in random order to give them a kind of encrusted look. I hope I'll get a better picture tomorrow with better light around me.

Oooh, Cat. What a great way to use a watch face! That's an amazing piece of creativity. I see why you were annoyed with the seller for not packing those watch faces properly. Dawn

Thank you very much, Dawn!
I haven't tried to get another photo yet, mostly because I got distracted by other things.

That is so very cool, Cat! I love it. The watch glass is great found object and idea! I’ve been eyeing those skulls you sent me. Something is percolating in my brain. 😜
I was a silver person too, Cat. And I do still like it, but I’ve become quite fond of the warmth of copper. And I agree, the colors seem to different when paired with copper vs. silver.
