I got something else for the challenge, only something small, though. Those skulls are so hard to take a picture of!

Wow! Those are amazing Cat. Are the skulls the same as the ones used in the moth? I scrolled back through the thread to see if there was any mention of what the skulls are made of, but did not see anything about that. What are they made of? Beautiful, unique and sometimes with a touch of whimsy - that's our Cat! Dawn

Thank you! Those are the same skulls, only in a grey. I ordered three colors, black, grey and a clear AB. The colorful ones seemed wrong to me although they would probably have been easier to photograph Actually people have been debating in the feedback if it's glass or plastic or whatever. Some even changed their mind after a bit, but all of them were happy enough with the quality and the price. I say it's acrylic.

Your finished project, the Halloween butterfly (moth?) necklace, was made so beautifully! Work of Perfection!
Nice skull earrings, just right for Halloween!

Thank you, Irith! To me it's a black moth and I'm really happy how she turned out. I'm working on an exotically colorful butterfly at the moment. I'm trying to make more earrings, to get out of my comfort zone, but also because I don't have that many.

Ugh, I'm so frustrated. I knew exactly what I was going to do for this challenge, but I can not find the component I was going to use. Anywhere. It is not where I was sure I'd find it, nor is it in any of the other places I've looked. Ugh, ugh, ugh! Back to the drawing board, I go! Dawn

OK, I re-grouped and made this wire pumpkin pendant with the aid of a Fantasia Elegance tutorial I found on youtube. Besides my occasionally fumbly fingers, it was quite easy to follow. The tutorial uses three pieces of wire, but this morning, I was thinking about how it could be done with one piece of wire. I think I will experiment a bit to see how that works out. The pendant measures 1.75 inches wide and 1.25 inches tall. It felt good to be playing with wire again, although I could tell that I am rusty. Dawn

What a cute pumpkin, Dawn!
I bet you will now find the missing component, too ....

Thank you, Cat. I need to find some chain or cord for it. Yep, you are right about that; that component will probably turn up sitting on the table now that I don't need it! Dawn

I just sold the moth to the same lady who bought the skull earrings the other day! That really makes me happy because it's one of my own all time favorites and I loved making it.

Thank you, Dawn. I rarely sell bigger pieces like this one. People usually tell me they love them, but don't have the money which I understand. I had two people ask for the raven and the moth, eventually I really want to try to make smaller pendant versions.

Well, Cat, I think your design is so beautiful that people are willing to part with their money in order to have it in their possession. Dawn

Now if I could only find the inner peace to make something else that I have on my mind! Der Dekan's inner peace, to be precise, so I can handle a needle without him getting excited
