While waiting for inspiration to hit me between the eyes about clasps for the necklaces I came upon two tutorials on JewelryLessons.com for leather wrap bracelets. The first is "Triple Row Leather Bracelet" by Denise Galloway and Maria Loughran. This is a great opportunity to use all of those 6mm rounds I bought a few years ago. I think this is Picture Jasper: This may be Snowflake obsidian (sure wish I had kept labels) and hematite balck seed beads: This one is easier: Czech fire polished glass and seed beads and the button came from a sweater my mom had saved for 50 years: Finally, this "Braided and Beaded Bracelet" by Denise Galloway because I can't resist anything with braids: And on my wrinkled wrist: By the time I'm done I'll have used all of LeathercordUSA's colors. By the way, their service is fast and perfect.

Those are really cool! I love the Braided and Beaded Bracelet - the colors are great I like how it has lots of finish and texture differences between the three types of beads and the cord. Your photos, particularly the first photo of this piece, are excellent!

What a fantastic use for your beads. They're all beautiful, but I LOVE the braided bracelet - what a cool design.

As for the photos: I sat back in my chair, put a white paper in my lap (the back of the bill from leathercordusa.com), the sun was coming in from the sliding glass doors from the other room and my Ott light was on. I put the camera on macro (and spot weighted average) and went to it. I used a 2 second timer to avoid shake. In a couple I had time to reposition the focus area before the shutter clicked. My tummy acted as a tripod so I could use lower light levels. A bit of PhotoShop brightened the buttons and took out most of the paper wrinkles, but if you look closely you can see them. I just wish the wonky stitching in the first was a bit less visible.

Talk about photography by the seat of your pants! Or, in your case, by the base of your tummy...

Sue, I don't think you've ever shown us any work that wasn't absolutely perfect. Your attention to detail is remarkable. Your photos always look great too - tummy tripod, eh? These bracelets are stunning and the braided one - oh my! Had to pick my jaw up off the floor and wipe up some drool! Ya done good, girlie. Dawn

Sue, great job on all of these bracelets...but the last one is exceptional...love the bead colors, love the braid, love everything about it....and the photography is as good as it gets even with your very innovative set-up!

I love them all the colors work really well with the button catches
I recently found my faux leather cord and I've been doing macrame recently (or rather trying lol) I'm thinking of playing with this style of bracelet and macrame ^_^
