I don't remember where I got this pebble from, but I always knew I wanted to make something with it because I love the color and texture. Bead embroidery lets me use stones in a way I hadn't thought about before, so to enhance the organic feel to this, I added gunmetal and this beautiful transparent red in an organic way and embellished part of the pendant with black crystals. Somehow I can imagine this in a fantasy setting worn by a dark spirit. You know how much I love black and red together.

This dark pebble is a lucky one to have passed through your hands! Beautiful combination of the red and black!

That's awesomely dark, Cat! I'm another who loves red and black together; they are perfect for this stone. Is the stone lava rock? Dawn

That pebble is awesome and I really love what you did with it. It does have an aura of something mystical.

Thank you all!
Dawn, I have no idea. Maybe I got it, maybe I have picked it up somewhere. I just know I had looked at it many times before without a creative idea. It is not completely flat on the back, but it was flat enough to glue it on and it doesn't have the same thickness all around which was one reason why I went for the organic look.
